In the quiet landscape of Arzachena, within the enduring stone walls of Stazzo Lu Ciàccaru, the project unfolds as a measured dialogue between discipline and devotion.
Here, architecture does not seek to dominate, but to reveal. A system of rigid symmetries organizes the space with almost ritual precision—axes aligned, proportions controlled—guiding the gaze and the body toward a single protagonist: the wine. Each bottle is not stored, but positioned, elevated into presence, into narrative.
Corten steel, chosen as the primary material, anchors the intervention in a language of time and authenticity. Its oxidized surface echoes the earth, the iron-rich tones of the Gallura landscape, and the slow transformation inherent to both architecture and viticulture. It does not imitate tradition; it resonates with it.
At the heart of the room, a singular gesture interrupts the order: a visual moment, intimate and symbolic. An inginocchiatoio—a kneeler—faces the wine, transforming the act of tasting into something closer to contemplation. It is an invitation to pause, to lower oneself, to approach the grape not as a product, but as a sacred element shaped by land, climate, and time.
In this space, wine is no longer an object of consumption. It becomes a presence to be honored—almost a liturgy—where architecture frames a quiet act of reverence.
